Douglas Morgan, Ph.D.

President

Doug founded Breakpoint in 2006 with an eye toward bringing his and his associates expertise and broad perspectives on Web-based corporate-banking applications to financial services organizations struggling to implement projects in Internet time.

Prior to founding Breakpoint, Doug was Chief Architect and Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Digital Insight, the leading supplier of Internet banking capabilities to banks of all sizes. Digital Insight has since been acquired by Intuit. At Digital Insight, Doug was responsible for all development for the Corporate Banking division, including product development, professional services, technical support, and "next generation" products. Doug led a team of over 60 engineers, architects and analysts, responsible for the successful delivery of hundreds of projects during six years at Digital Insight.

Doug has a Ph.D. in Engineering from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.



Rob Askins

Principal Consultant

Rob brings 20 years of experience in banking technology, professional services and project management. Rob has a proven record of successfully leading both small and large teams through the implementation of change. The combination of in-depth banking process knowledge and technical knowledge of the software systems used to automate banking enables Rob to lead large programs and be hands on when it's needed. Rob's experience with banking technology has been focused on lending and payment systems.

Prior to joining Breakpoint, Rob led Corporate Banking Professional Services for S1 Corp, a leading provider of technology solutions for large financial institutions. The Corporate Banking group Rob led included teams of project managers, software engineers, business analysts, training specialists, technical writers, and production support staff that were located both on and off-shore.

Rob was also Vice President of Professional Services and the Office of Project Management for Digital Insight (DI). The Professional Services division of DI had more than 40 project managers, software engineers, business analysts, and technical writers. In addition to growing the profitability of the company's Professional Services Rob initiated the Office of Project Management at DI which managed all Corporate Banking related projects.

Rob developed his initial process knowledge and banking knowledge at KPMG Consulting (now BearingPoint) as a Management Consultant and at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a Bank Examiner.

Rob earned his MBA at the Goziueta School of Business at Emory University.
